Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) aka Genuine Student (GS)

Checklist Version 1, July 2024

What is GTE? International students applying to study in Australia must be genuine in their intention and must comply with visa requirements and must intend to return home on completion of studies. 

Universities are required to undertake a GTE assessment as part of the application process and the following checklist helps ensure we have all relevant documents to allow this to be completed.

AUSTRALIA GTE DOCUMENT CHECKLIST

Financial Documents Document of All Sponsor 
1 Identification Documents such as Aadhar and PAN of Self and Sponsor  Notarized
2 Source of Income Documents 

       A. If Sponsor main source of Income is Salary

  • Form 16 ( Last 2 Years )
  • ITR ( Last 2 Years )
  • Salary Slips ( last 6 months )
  • Bank Statement where salary is getting credited ( last 6 months ) 

 

       B. If Sponsor main source of Income is Business 

  • GST / MSME Certificate 
  • ITR with COI ( Last 2 Years )
  • Current Bank Statement of Business ( last 12 months ) 
  • Business Balance Sheet & Profit and Loss St 
  • Sponsor Affidavit 

If sponsor has other sources of income like Agriculture Income, Capital Gains, Rental income, same can also be show with supporting documents especially ITR

Bank Documents must bear Bank Stamp and Sign on all documents
 

 

 

 

 

Rest Documents can be notarized or online verifiable 

3 Source of Funds 

This is where you show funds from where payments will be made 

Education Loan or Savings Bank Balance or a combination of both 

Amount depends on your University fees, however below is tentative calculation 

Tuition Fees for FY               AUD$ 30000

Living Expenses of FY          AUD$  29710

Miscellaneous Expenses    AUD$  2000

Total = AUD$ 61710 ( x 55 = Rs. 34 Lakhs )

Please follow proper format as advised by your university 

Bank Documents must bear Bank Stamp and Sign on all documents

 

4 CA Certified Statement on Net worth of All Sponsors 

We recommend to mention amount in INR and AUD

 

GTE process & documentation varies as per University and could take from 1 day to 2 Weeks; however its best to be prepared in advance as Source of Funds may take time. 

Once your GTE process is over, the University will issue Unconditional Offer Letter (UCO) followed by Confirmation of Enrollment (COE)
